York Faber Shield Match Reports 2004~05

This page contains links to the match reports written by Colin Robinson. Unfortunately the Evening Press do not appear to be adding these reports to their web site as often as they have done in previous years. As a result I have also added reports of my own below. Obviously these reports concentrate on the matches I have been involved in. I rely heavily on word of mouth for the other match reports. As such I have added a new Submit Results page which allows you to send me the details of any match results and add any information that will be useful for me to write a match report - what's more you don't even need an email address to send me the details!

Dunmore potted the yellow but Shipley picked off the green, brown and blue to win 68-35 and put Heworth 3-1 in front. Jeff Brown went 25-17 ahead in the fifth frame only for Clive Whyte to reply with a 15 break. Brown responded and looked in control when he potted yellow to lead 47-32. Whyte sank an easy green but lost position with possible victory in sight and he had to lay a snooker, from which he gained five points to trail by seven. Brown claimed the frame by sinking the brown, doubling the blue and picking off the pink to win 63-40, which reduced Heworth's lead to 3-2. Neil Wood made breaks of 21 and 37 in the sith frame to defeat Wayne Puleston 92-21, which gave Heworth the match, and spared Rich Burdett and Richard Stroughair of playing a deciding frame.
