Bootham's Brian Coulson has sadly passed away over the weekend following a long battle with illness. Brian will be sadly missed by his team mates at Bootham Conservative Club and by his competitors within the league.

Brian has been an important member of Bootham A Snooker team for many years. Brian won the Scruton Cup in 1992 defeating Sid Travis in the final. He was also runner-up to Neil Wood in the inaugaral Fosters Cup final in 2002, just losing out 3-2 on a repotted balck in the final frame of the night (see the Press match report here).

Brian also won the Willsden Steel Snooker Player of the Season competition 3 times and was runner up in the Haws-Citreon Pairs Snooker on 4 occasions between 1989 and 1995.
